ISPA Young Scientist and Young Engineer Awards:

Indian Society For Particle Accelerators (ISPA) has decided to award one Young Scientist and one Young Engineer to its Life members, who have carried out good quality, challenging work and did some innovative work in the field of particle accelerators (age less than 35 years). The award is expected to be announced during forthcoming InPAC-2025.

Nomination shall be made by an ISPA Life Member fulfilling the following criteria:

• Proposer/nominator shall be Life member of ISPA for more than five years as on December 31, 2024.
• At least 15 years of experience in conducting R&D in the field of Science and Technology of Particle Accelerators.
• Direct knowledge of the quality and importance of the work of the candidate (Brief description about this to be included in the proposal).

Important

1. ISPA award for ‘Young Scientist’ & ‘Young Engineer’ (For each category one) are intended to honour young talented scientists/engineers who have made significant innovative achievements, implementation of new concepts or outstanding contribution in the field of particle accelerator physics/ technology. This award comprises of Rs.25000 and a Citation. A maximum of two awards shall be given.
2. Nominee should less than 35 years of age (as on 31-12-2024)
3. Nominee should be life member of ISPA (Joined membership on or before 31-12-2024).
4. Proposer/nominator may please ensure that the nomination form as prescribed is duly completed and no column is left blank.
5. Scan copy of the duly filled form should be sent to the General Secretary, ISPA through e-mail at ispaaward@gmail.com so as to reach not later than February 28  10^th March, 2025. No hardcopy to follow. The subject line of email should be written as “ISPA Young Scientist/Engineer Award 2025”. Please note that nominator/proposer only should send the nomination to ISPA.
6. Nomination incomplete in any respect and after the due date are liable to be rejected.
7. The ISPA reserves the right of final selection of the aforesaid award. No appeal in this regard would be entertained.
